I mean it would make sense right because lots of wierd supernatural stuff happens in the Uncharted world like those blue guardians of the sap or those Gollum looking creatures and curses, so what if Nathan Drake accidently let out a curse that mutated the Cordyceps?
Plus, there was a newspaper at the bar about it so ya.
Naughty Dog can take my Idea, I won't even be mad, just my name somewhere in credits
I don't have a link, but ND confirmed this game take place in a "different" world. Similar game design do not make them in the same universe. There's even proof of this in the game itself.
Examples of games actually in and confirmed to be in the same world. Infamous Second Son takes place in the Infamous world and Killzone Shadow Fall takes place in the Killzone world, but not Uncharted & TLOU.
No No No! It's called Promos ppl Shameful ones at that by Nd lol Game producers always seem to do these Now-A-Days, it lets you know what Games they've Done (Reminders), which in turn makes you Think or things to Come. Crazy Good Idea but No lol It's just there way of Keeping you Drawn into there Works.
Alright guys lets just get this straight, (this is only going to be an example, E.i. me using the fallout, call of duty, and other universes)
this is not the uncharted universe, reason is, this is not the Fallout universe, for instance, just becuase it has an easter egg doesnt mean its the uncharted universe, So first off, Just because america gets really messed up in the Call of duty universe, doesnt mean its the fallout universe, in both universe's america gets messed up BUT that doesnt make them the same universe. ND did this as an easter egg, in the uncharted universe they did this as a little friendly push to show their up coming game. That doesnt make it the same universe, if the title is Uncharted: The Last of Us time paradox concochtion thing a majig then yes it will be the same universe....
Riley Heligo wrote: But...if that's the case, does that mean the Jak and Daxter costumes are related to Uncharted and The Last of Us, I mean they're pretty much Easter Eggs.
that does not count aas tose are true easter egs as you need to actually modify tehem nbut the newspaper is still there without modificagion
How do they not count? They're not modifications at all...
A modification of game means adding things what aren't part of the initial game, it can range from minor things such as loading screen changes to custom outfits to even a total conversion like Killing Floor was for Unreal Tournament, so no the Jak and Daxter costumes aren't mods at all.
I guess Lost Planet & KillZone has the Same World too then huh (Rolling Eyes) lol because in Lp2 Kz gave Capcom a Few of there Character (Skins) to be Playable even tho the Worlds are Beyond Different (Lp Aliens Kz Mutated Humans) the Only thing they Had in Common was the Whole Outta Space Deal... It was Just for Promo between the Two Companies there & in LOU it was just a Teaser for their other Games! Get serious about this, they were Plugs... Simple ShameFull Plugs lol
Alright guys, first things first that you need to realize is that when it is a different Title it creates a new universe, so uncharted is in the uncharted universe, fallout is in the fallout universe, the last of us is in the last of us universe not only that I have a video that is going to explain WHY there was that news paper that was seen, these guys over at the youtube channel: Lore explain why in the video im going to link.
Procede with caution, Cause i forgot if that video had bad language.
Grand Theft auto, Bully, and Manhunt are confirmed to be in the same universe even though all that's tieing them to gether is Easter eggs and brief mentions and references. Though those are actually believable in to be in the same world, but to cross TLOU with Uncharted you'd need some large over complicated mind f*** of an idea kind of like the theory I posted on another thread on this forum where Joel and Drake are same person but in different realities.

Whatever that means, that sentence is extremely vague. Also they could happen in different worlds but in the same universe. It depends on what definition of world ND is using. For example you can say that now and 5000 years ago are 2 completely diferent worlds. But you can also say world = universe., it all depends on what definition of world ND used. Just imagine - Plot twits: Nathan Drake is Joel! That would kind of make sense since Joel's daughter is blond, same as Elena (who Drake ends up with at the end of every game) But whatever.
It seemed like they were being saracastic about them being in the same universe, especially when they mentioned U4 is actually going to be just a dream, I can see them using the pub as a nod to the easter egg which they pretty much admitted.
quite right you are, they are not the same person but i honestly feel like they got lazy with the character design because its pretty much the same to marlene XD Maybe Nadine, is Marlene's doppleganger! 2 Universes 2 Versions of her.
I just got here so I'm gonna put my theory on the table. What if the games are in the same universe up until a certain point, where the realities differ. In Nathan's universe, outbreak is stopped and Joel and his daughter live happily ever after. In Joel's world Last of us happens blah blah you get the point. Sorry if someone's said something like this already.
I think that they take place in different universes but there is one universe where the same events happen in both the uncharted universe and the last of us universe except Nathan and Elena never had a daughter and instead Sam convinces Nathan to go on one last adventure and Nathan accidently mutates the cordyceps brain infection and becomes the first human victim of it and it eventually spreads to the rest of the world.
