well concidering ther is no "british" version thats not wrong lol. but the lady cant do it for every language like say spanish or portugue! so like i said this is the actor from the AMERICAN version of the game.
Much like myself in NZ, or gamers in Australia, Canada or any other country where the predominantly spoken language IS English. We will all hear one voice with Ellie. Ashley Johnson speaking ENGLISH with an AMERICAN accent. How hard of a concept to grasp is this? Lol.
Well that's 4 minutes of my life I will never get back...British is Scotland, Wales, England and Northern Ireland, and each of those countries have their own dialect. English is a generalisation of those languages wherever it is spoken around the world.
I don't even know what was going on in half of this thread.
Ellie's voice actor is American. Other versions of the games have different voice actors, but the English-language release had only one version. There are no variations be it you live in the UK, Australia, Canada, the US, or anywhere else where English is mainly spoken.
Let's not be rude people. It seems as though the OP is from another country.
Ellie isn't from England. She's American. But the credits just say that Ashley Johnson does the English language voice for Ellie, because Ellie speaks the English language. If the game has other language options then they're done by voice actors of that language. The voice actor would then possibly be from a different country. But regardless Ellie is still American because the game takes place in America. Does that clear things up?
English is the primary language. American, Australian, Canadian ect. are merely accents. Also, of course Ellie is American but clearly the game refers to Ashley voicing the English Ellie for the fact that Ashley Johnson is speaking in English all the way through the game.
I can choose the language at my PS3. American or britisch english. But neither Ellie or anyone speaks britisch than - a shame.
This threat is hillerious funny. I wonder where the OP Statement do come from. Was there in the rolling credits a list of voice actors: english, japanese, italian? Isen't english meant as a collective name?
