Sharpshooter improves accuracy by reducing scope sway and damage wobble. "Damage wobble" refers to flinching that players suffer when being shot at. Naturally, this skill benefits the Hunting Rifle and other scoped weapons the most, as they have more conspicuous sway, although it is also effectively for rapid-fire weapons like the Burst Rifle and Full-Auto Rifle, as it cancels the sway that their high rate of fire generates.
However, every weapon can benefit from reduced damage wobble, and the extra HP granted by the higher levels of this skill can make those good at headshots harder to kill in a prolonged battle. Due to these benefits, Sharpshooter is one of the best survival skills to use in head-on firefights.
Inflicting headshots on downed opponents heals players using Sharpshooter 2 or 3. Certain special executions also achieve this.
Sharpshooter works well with Hawk-eyed 2 and 3; the red silhouette created by Hawk-eyed allows players to better predict where to aim at targets emerging from cover, as well as shoot enemies behind cover.
