I'm almost heartbroken to hear you're considering retiring from Wikia - you were here, almost as guide for me, since I first arrived. You've stuck through it all these past five years with us: a hard working, stellar administrator and staff member doing your bit to keep the community going as other have drifted away.
While I respect your decision to let your activity here take a back seat, I do hope you won't leave forever - even just the occasional return now and then would be enough. Don't worry about this place, I can assure you I'll still be here doing my bit to keep it ticking as best I can.
Regardless, I respect your decision to want to leave and, should you do go through with it, I wish you all the best for the future!
Thanks for the kind words! I'm really more considering just taking a break from Wikia as a whole. I'll be available if you need anything, so just drop me a message here or on Community Central and I should respond soon.
Hey there, Braden. I've recently offered Snivystorm a spot on the administrative team in addition to removing Fireburn's rights as he hasn't been on the wiki for well over a year. I'd like to know your input on these rights changes and receive your decision to reach a consensus. You can read the threads here and here. Thanks!
Sorry for the late reply. I support promoting Snivystorm and demoting Fireburn12. In fact, I've thinking of promoting Snivystorm for a while now, especially considering that I'm thinking of leaving Wikia.
That sounds good. With your consideration of retirement and my inactivity, Snivy would make a great addition. Sucks to hear you're considering to leave though, I hope you choose whatever is best for you.
I was just creating some of the mentioned character pages and I began to wonder what really warrants the page's creation. I've been making them due to noticing how many red links we have in the characters navbox, which is far from ideal, yet (as I've realised) they lack a massive amount of content anyway, so I just wanted to clarify whether they are worth making. I also noticed we deleted the page for Reuben previously for lacking any substantial content beyond their brief mention as well.
If it's cool, I'll keep making them 8) If not, is it best we just remove the red links and leave them as references?
Hmm. I really don't care either way. If we have enough scraps of information to peice together a paragraph about a character, go ahead and create an article for them. Otherwise, just remove the redlink for now. Does that sound doable?
Seems reasonable. But then we can scrape a paragraph together for all of them which would consist of:
X was a character mentioned in X. They were XYZ. Joel can find a note/picture/artifact recounting their experiences.
Reckon that's enough to warrant an article? I'm tempted to remove them entirely from the box and leave their mentions to references entirely, as I've been doing in articles today. But then I may be saying that because I'm tired. ^_^
I was just wondering why the trailer from PGW on The Last of Us Part II appears at the top to play as the reader views the page. Also, is it really necessary?
Also, do you reckon we should merge the rumours presented in the "reactions" sections to a "rumours" section instead, save mashing reactions with theories or should we simply remove the rumours entirely?
The video at the top of the article is part of Wikia/FANDOM's Featured Videos campaign. There's something similar going on over on the Horizon Zero Dawn wiki, where a user is making videos for certain pages.
Hmm... this part puts me in a bit of a bind. Maybe add a bit that the trailer sparked rumors that the unnamed woman was Anna?
Ah, that's a pretty cool for them to add. May prove useful :D
Yeah, I kinda wanna add it in about her being Anna, but then I feel obliged to put all the theories inand I'm not certain we should have so much (what is essentially) speculation in the article. Because then we have to decide what classes as worth putting in and what isn't. I'll add it in for now though.
The user, as you can see, claimed they were hiring voice actors for the game, but wanted children for said parts, specifically those under 13. I've locked the post to prevent further discussion. Reckon it is best I just delete the thing entirely? Also, any other thoughts on it?
