Gadget was a dog mentioned in The Last of Us. He was the pet of the boy who owned a diary. They lived in Lincoln. The boy eventually had to let the dog go, as the military refused to allow animals entry into the Quarantine Zone. The boy's father claimed it was for the best and that Gadget was meant to be in the wild, but the boy dismissed his remarks, having not wanted to leave Gadget behind. It is unknown what happened to him afterwards.
