Cornered note is an artifact that can be found in the chapter "The Suburbs". It is part of a series of notes detailing Ish and his group's lives and perspectives since the outbreak of the Cordyceps brain infection.

- A skeleton can be seen near the area the note is found in. It may belong to Kyle, the author of the note.
- Along with the skeleton, there are three bodies under a tarp or blanket, presumably the children.
- The note contains a minor grammatical error; "I got infected pounding at the door" should have been "I've got infected pounding at the door".
- On the floor in front of the door, written in red is 'THEY DIDN'T SUFFER'.
