The Last of Us: Left Behind
I have no problem if she is. I have been playing the Left Behind DLC and just got to the part where Ellie kisses Riley. I found it interesting, and not that surprising considering the time this game, and more specifcally, the DLC was released. However, I don't want to jump to any conclusions. Good friends sometimes do kiss each other, but not usually on the lips. This specific moment is also a shocking moment for both of the characters, and with Ellie specfically saying 'sorry', it could've been she didn't know the proper reaction or way to say goodbye.
Again, to reiterate, I don't particularly care if she is gay (although she isn't one to give off those vibes tbh) so I just wanna know for sure
It's discussed how things may have transpired, but in her character page, it said she died of the infection. Is that possible? I mean when the cordyceps reaches your brain, can you instantly die and produce spores. It's never shown, but I can speculate what probably happened. Similar to what happened with Sam, Riley must've turned overnight and when she noticed Ellie's presence, the new-born Runner attacked her, forcing Ellie to kill her best friend in self defense. This is probably the most plausible outcome, but could there be more? Is it possible you'll just die and produce spores. The first sign of spores we saw, the victim looked recent so we know it's not dependant on the final stages. It could be possible that Ellie woke up and saw Riley's corpse produce spores, which could explain why she wasn't worried about inhaling the fungus when she was with Joel. Which theory do you think is true?
